THE ROLES OF THE COACH AND CONSULTANT
In simple terms, business coaching focuses on performances whereas consulting focuses on problem solving.
Coaching and consulting is therefore a mix of strategic planning, skill development and leadership training. The
process is best described by looking at the two universal needs of any business organization:
(1) The TACTICAL or the NOW issues and
(2) The STRATEGIC or the FUTURE issues.
Addressing the NOW or TACTICAL issues is a process where the coach/consultant devote time just long enough
before daily issues become long-term crises. The only real way to get out of the "NOW issues" is where organization
spend time investing in their future, both in strategy as well as leadership. Generally, the weaknesses of most
organization tend to be in either one of the following areas:
(1) Strategy - meaning leaderships that drives results and leaders that turnaround
crisis.
(2) Operations - meaning ability to execute better, faster and/or cheaper.
(3) Marketing - meaning creating unique customers experiences and brand leadership.
(4) Financial - meaning maximizing shareholder's wealth & succession planning.
(5) People - meaning developing human capital & talents retention.
As a certified "5 Building Blocks of Success" coach and consultant you'll acquire the concepts, competences and
